I will be teaching the following courses at this year’s Pennsic War. If you have any questions regarding my classes, feel free to contact me.
August 5th 1:00-3:00PM

"An essential garment in every nihonjin wardrobe! We’ll discuss construction of this Japanese garment, based on a Tokyo National Museum example. The predecessor to the kimono, the kosode was worn by both men and women throughout most of Japanese history. A visual, step-by-step example of its construction will be presented. Extra time is allotted for consultations. Please bring along your own materials if you would like assistance starting your pattern."
HAPPY JAPANESE GAMES
August 9th 1:00-2:30PM
Location: Games Tent
"Three leisure games of Japan will be discussed. Reproductions of each game will be available to play during class. May not be appropriate for small children; some game pieces can be a choking hazard."
